Shakha: Each chapter of HSS is known as Shakha – a monthly program for the entire family. While the kids enjoy learning via inspiring stories, youth and adults also participate in activities such as games, songs, discussions, and lectures on Hindu Vedic culture. We strongly emphasize the physical, intellectual and spiritual growth of each individual and also promote a sense of discipline.
We organize various events. One of them is “Yogathon” held on June-21 every year, which has been declared as International Yoga Day by United Nations in Dec-2014. We encourage the participants to continue doing Yoga on regular basis even after the event. In addition to this there will be further details available in Yoga gallery and stalls by various pro-Yoga institutes being active in Tokyo.
We celebrate a great number of Hindu religious festivals. These festivals are being observed from time immemorial. People are observing them right from the dawn of human civilization. We celebrate Dussehra, Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, Basanta Panchami, Makar Sankranti, Janmastami, Ram Navami, Akshya Tritiya, Holi and others, to name only a few.
